Introduction and Welcome Note

Vaidika Nitya karma Anushtanam Blog

Vedas are the fundamentals of Sanathana dharma. (vedaha khalu dharma mUlam). Even in this age of kali, many noble souls want to perform their prescribed duties, despite their unavoidable work and family pressures. Though internet is flooded with such websites, some rare communities of people are unable to gain access to their nityakarmas, even from the net. By rare communities, I mean people inclusive of atharva vedins.

With blessings of my teachers, preceptors and the almighty, I am trying to sketch out such rare and apparently lost items from vedic literature, for the benefit of such communities. In addition, I also want to post standardized (With smrithi referenced) procedures for sandyavandanam, brahma yagnam, tarpanam, samidhadanam, agni sandhana aupasanam, paka yagnas, pitru tarpanam, sraddha prayogam, 16 karmas (Garbhadhanam to vivaham) for all existing sutras of all sakas of rig, yajur sama and atharva vedas. Sapta paka yagnas have been almost forgotten by even people are staunch followers of vedic principles. This might aid in revival of such procedures. In addition, I also seek the grace of almighty to enable me to present important portions of all existing sakas like panchasuktams, shanti mantras, chaturved udaka shanti, punyahams etc.

In addition, I also seek divine blessings to write in detail on various vaidika karmas of paka yagnas, adapted and abridged for performing in the current scenario. Though one may think that karmas cannot be abridged by anyone, I am sure that I am not abridging it, but quoting from smruthis and grhya sutras.
I am sure everyone would say, "Believe it people they are absolutely "do-able"".
